Sometimes the very things given you to assist in your growth become the burden separating you from God. You may find yourself failing to live up to the dictates of a grace-filled life. Next, you focus on the mistake – the error – instead of being thankful that you have been shown the error of this particular action and accepting that the God who placed you here knew the weaknesses that would cause you to stumble even before you stumbled.

But for grace you may not even be alive in this moment. All who are on the earth plane learn some important lesson or they would not be here. Hence it is the height of hubris to believe your mistakes greater than God’s loving kindness and ability to forgive.

Let us switch gears for a moment. The word “earned” is another trap to avoid at all costs. Grace is never earned. It is freely given. What is earned is life experience and the powers associated with any great attainment. And here we must be careful how we express this notion of earned experience and associated power.

For some, much is required by way of growth and development in order to attain power. For others, much less is required for the growth and development is already within the soul’s blueprint. Then the matter of power becomes relative. For the greater the power the less required by way of earned experience.

Power itself – what is it? It is your connection between the Source of Power and your individualized conduit. Certainly, if it is the connection, then power resides other than within the personality. At best, the personality accesses power and neither owns nor controls it.

However we look at things we arrive always back to the fact there is a Power and Grace we may look to for assistance, and never a power or grace that we can “earn” or “attain” other than thru God and grace.
